One of the things I like serving during the holidays is Cranberry Mulled Wine. It’s festive, fun, tasty, and easy to make.  Simply add all the ingredients to a stock pot and let it warm over low heat for about 30 minutes. Cranberry Mulled Wine

Red wine is warmed with spices and flavored with oranges and cranberries to make for a fun and festive holiday drink.

Equipment

  • 6-quart stock pot or Dutch oven

Ingredients

  • 1 750 ml bottle of red wine Zinfandel, Merlot, red blend, Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 2 cups cranberry juice
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 teaspoon cardamom pods
  • 2 teaspoon star anise
  • 1 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 5 orange slices
  • 2 lemon slices
  • 3 rosemary stems

Instructions

  • In a large stock pot, bring together all ingredients to a simmer.
  • Cook over low heat for about 30 minutes.

Notes

If serving in punch mugs, this recipe can serve about eight people.
